So I wonder if I should consider sushi a splurge? There are some condiments/sauces, but otherwise, it's rice and fish.
I need to make some more Kashi tonight. The kids and I polished off the last of it this morning. I'm considering having them eat breakfast at home from now on. Currently we pay $3/meal for them to eat at school. It's a huge time/hassel saver, but I know they'd get a better breakfast if I made it. Probably best to wait until after the first of the year and see how we do on a more regular schedule. I'd pretty much have to commit to getting up at 5:30 everyday. Which may not be hard if Chud (the hubs) will start going to bed - no, turning off the TV - at a reasonable hour. Something to think about.
Someone at work brought in a huge dish of no-bake cream cheese with cherries. I took a single bite, shrugged, and got my green pepper and hummus out of the fridge. It just wasn't that great. I feel this way about most sweets. We get tons of cookies and junk at the office around this time of year. I will have a little here and there, but usually it's not worth the splurge. Generally, I just think that sweets are very good unless homemade or from a really good bakery. Yeah, I so don't have a sweet tooth.
On the otherhand, I've never met a cheese I didn't like. Okay, not true. Nacho cheese is gross.
